My electoral decision in 2024 – The whole truth

An important reminder : The bosses are the citizens. They decide which deputees get the chance to improve the life of the citizens (= the bosses) during the next years.
Article 1 of the Austrian Constitution stipulates this principle unequivocally :
« Austria is a democratic republic. Its law originates in its people.“
The EU Treaty strengthens in Title II Article 10 the key role of the citizens too:
„The functioning of the Union shall be founded on representative democracy. Citizens are directly represented at Union level in the European Parliament. (…) Every citizen shall have the right to participate in the democratic life of the Union. (…)“
The EU Parliament elections are very important, because the members of the EU Parliament decide significant laws that are then translated in the national law of the member states. The EU parliament also elects the president of the EU Commission (the candidate proposal is done by the European Council).
Politicians often like to consider themselves as an « Elite », but they are just ordinary human beings like everybody else. Some of these « Elite Politicians » even finish in prison for corruption and similar crimes.
The joys of a simple life in liberty
As a freedom-loving person I want to be able to freely express my opinion, decide myself which medical treatment I take, which food I consume, and which payment method I use in the supermarket. All parties that are allowed for elections in the EU are automatically democratic parties, and no single citizen has to justify why he votes for this or that party.
Having a professional training in the digital sector, I know very well, how much digital technologies can be used to spy on and manipulate people. This is not the type of digitalization that I support.
The right to life, liberty and security is granted in the Human Rights, concretely in article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and in the articles 2 and 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The right to Asylum is an important human right too, guaranteed in Art 14 of the UDHR. It’s for those people who are facing existential threats in their country of origin. Competent international diplomats can sometimes prevent conflicts and persecution. This is a preferable solution to providing asylum. Migration that is based on economical motives is to be distinguished from asylum. There shall be precise crime statistics too, both for nationals and the various kinds of foreigners of a country, in order to propose the right solutions to guarantee security for all.
Responsible citizens advise politicians in decision-making processes
I’ve never been member of a political party. In the past, sometimes I did not even vote. But, since march 2020 it became necessary to intensify my democratic activity.
In early 2022, some parties of the austrian parliament were preparing a special law that was unique of its kind in Europe :
Compulsory Covid Inoculations with substances that do only have a « conditional market authorisation « by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
Those citizens that refused these « conditionally approved » substances should be sanctioned with a fine of 3600 EUR per year.
Back then, I have written to the members of the austrian parliament. I sent them exhaustive scientific arguments to allow them to take the best decision for the austrian people, in accordance with the fundamental human rights quoted above. This is one of the most noble ideas of democracy : the citizen enters in a constructive dialogue with politicians and supports them in the legislative process.
Only a few delegates wrote me back. The intellectual level of some of these few answers was shocking to me.
The special law for compulsory Covid Inoculations with a 3600 EUR fine entered into force in february 2022 and was abolished in july 2022.
Some european top politicians become convicted criminals
Politicians (who are the well-paid employees of the citizens) are just ordinary human beings too. Sometimes there can even be criminals among them. Let’s just quote the example of Dr. Ernst Strasser (ÖVP, Austria People’s Party), the former austrian minister of the Interior, who then became a deputee of the EU Parliament. In 2013 he was sentenced to 4 years in prison for corruption in relation to his work in the EU parliament.
In France, the former president Nicolas Sarkozy was sentenced to 3 years in prison for corruption and forbidden intervention. This sentence was confirmed by the highest french court in 2024.
Currently, there are legal proceedings against various other high profile politicians too : i.e. Sebastian Kurz, former chancellor of Austria (ÖVP, Austria People’s Party), who was sentenced for false testimony during a parliamentarian investigation committee (legally not binding), and Eva Kaili, former Vice-President of the EU-Parliament, who is currently involved in an alleged corruption scandal. 1,5 million EUR were found in cash in Miss Kailis home. The EU Parliament waived the immunity of Miss Kaili as member of parliament in February 2024.
Of course, Mister Kurz and Miss Kaili are to be presumed innocent, until a final legal decision concerning their affairs.
The European Union’s task is to grant peace, liberty and prosperity
The European Union is based on the great values of peace, liberty and prosperity. It was not founded with the aim to participate in wars outside of the territory of the EU member states.
The war between Ukraine and Russia is terrible. Austrians have a special relation to Ukraine, because a part of the country belonged to the austro-hungarian empire until quite recently: the ukraininan region of Galicia (not to be confounded with the spanish Galicia) with the main city Lviv (in German : Lemberg), where the famous austrian author Joseph Roth (1894 – 1939) grew up. In 1918, Austria lost Galicia, which became a part of Poland. In 1939 Galicia was integrated in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.
After WWI Austria lost South Tyrol too, which became a part of Italy.
History shows, that wars between regular armies often change the borders for countries. After both world wars, several european countries that are now EU members, had to accept new border realities before they could start their reconstruction. Besides : South Tyrol (Trentino Alto Adige) is today one of Italy’s economically most successful regions.
Austria is a neutral country. Its EU-membership in 1995 did very clearly not occur with the aim to join a war union, but with the motivation to stabilize and increase peace, liberty and prosperity.
Russia has not declared war against EU countries
Russia has one of the most powerful military in the world. Already in the past it was very difficult to fight the russian army. The battle of Stalingrad in 1942/ 1943 led to a major defeat for Hitler’s Wehrmacht. It is commonly considered to be the turning point of WW II. Germans and Austrians know the details of this battle thoroughly. Even the French know it, because in almost each bigger city in France you can find a street or a place that is called « Place de Stalingrad », « Avenue de Stalingrad » etc. Besides : the name of the city in Russia changed from Stalingrad to Volgograd in 1961.
In an official TV interview with the french TV channel BFMTV from 4 June 2024, Alexander Makogonov, the speaker of the russian embassy in Paris, states at minute 5 of the video :
« Russia is not in a war with France ! » (Alexander Makogonov, Russian Embassy in Paris, 4 june 2024)
That’s good news ! Because Russia has 5977 nuclear warheads.
In case of a nuclear war, politicians have comfortable underground bunkers to hide, with Netflix, food and Whiskey for several years. Unfortunately, most ordinary citizens do not have such securized facilities.
My mandate to the EU and Austria : Immediate peace negotiations
As a democratic european citizen I invoke the European Union and the Austrian Chief of Government to immediately undertake all necessary actions to set peace negotiations between the conflict parties in the east, to stop the awful suffering of the ukrainian people.
My vote for the elections of the EU parliament (june 2024) and for the austrian parliamentary election in autumn 2024 is therefore as follows :
It’s a vote for peace, human rights, freedom, for politicians that create hospital beds instead of eliminating them, for politicians that allow critical medical experts to freely express their knowledge on infectional diseases and medical treatments instead of disavowing these experts, for politicians that enable prosperity instead of impoverishment of the population.
